The Merseyside Network for Collaborative Outreach (MCNO) is a partnership of Universities and Colleges in Liverpool. A HEFCE funded initiative, we work together to raise aspirations, provide students with increased knowledge of Higher Education and make young people aware of the wide range of educational and career pathways available to them.
They asked our group to form a theatre in education company to provide a script two scripts to perform around 163 schools across Merseyside. The map below shows the areas we reached across the region.

I was a project coordinator for MNCO’s (Merseyside Network For Collaborative Outreach) Theatre In Education programme. My duties were liaising with the schools, arranging transport, and supporting the delivery of workshops around barriers to education.

During my own time at university, I worked on my projects to support the community arts projects as a volunteer so I will be able to relate to the students who will be participating, and realise the importance and value of gaining ‘real-life work experience’.
